Clinical Pilates

Pilates exercises focus on facilitating the muscles that provide core strength. The core muscles are made up of the deeper layers of the abdominal, spinal and pelvic floor muscles. They stabilise the lower back and pelvis, act as a bracing mechanism in anticipation of movement and reduce the load placed on the spine. This function can be commonly affected by pain or an injury to the spine, poor posture, abdominal surgery or pregnancy. Core strengthening exercises are the foundation of any good exercise program or rehabilitation.

Pilates is widely recognised as a structurally sound way of keeping the body strong and flexible with a focus on core stability. Our goal is to tailor make a Pilates program so you can reach your full potential, and return to your optimal level of function.
