The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a nationwide support program for Australians under 65 with a permanent and significant disability. The Program allows for supports and services in a wide range of areas to assist those with a disability to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.
Physiotherapy under NDIS is directed at improving and individual’s capacity for daily living and improving their health and wellbeing. There are numerous was that physiotherapy can assist you including improving your physical capacity to assist in completing daily tasks, managing your pain and understanding your condition better.
SERVICES WE PROVIDE:
The first step is a comprehensive assessment with one of our experienced physiotherapists to identify your Health and Wellbeing goals and to devise an individualised Treatment Plan. The Physiotherapy Treatment Plan is tailored to suit the individual’s condition, capacity, and goals. Services that may be included are:
- Hand on manual therapy
- 1-1 or small group supervised clinical exercise sessions.
- 1-1 or small group Clinical Pilates
- Advice on self-management strategies, home exercise programs and self-treatment options
- A detailed Therapy Report for your yearly NDIS review
- Assessment and provision of gait aids, exercise equipment and orthotics in line with your NDIS goals
We collaborate with Participants, Plan Managers and Support Coordinators to ensure you have the best support possible to assist you in working towards your goals.
At Whittlesea Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates we can assist Self Managed and Plan Managed participants. All participants will complete a service agreement – this helps to make sure the participant and provider have the same expectations of what supports will be delivered and how they will be delivered.
