Maighan graduated from La Trobe University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Applied Sciences and Master of Physiotherapy Practice. Throughout her time at university, Maighan gained musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, neurological, trauma rehabilitation and chronic pain physiotherapy experience. Maighan has experience working in private practice, acute hospital, and post-operative hip, knee and shoulder rehabilitation settings. Prior to working as a physiotherapist, Maighan worked as a sports trainer with local football and netball clubs, as well as assisting in facilitating clinical pilates groups.
Maighan comes from a sporting background, playing netball at many levels including representing her university at a national competition standard. This, alongside her interest in a range of other sports, has fuelled her passion for rehabilitation of musculoskeletal and sporting injuries. Maighan also has further interest in working with other populations including clients with trauma-related injuries, and older clients with deficits in strength and balance. Maighan enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds to achieve their best physical health.
She has continued education in areas including clinical pilates, dry needling, and musculoskeletal conditions.
In her spare time, you can find Maighan playing netball, working out at the gym, walking her dog, Storm, and spending time with family and friends.
