MAIGHAN CANN

Maighan graduated from La Trobe University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Physiotherapy Practice. Maighan has been with the Whittlesea Physiotherapy team since the beginning of 2023, after initially gaining experience working acutely in private practice as well as post-operative rehabilitation.

Maighan comes from a sporting background which has fuelled her passion for treating musculoskeletal and sport-related injuries. She also has a large interest in rehabilitating clients post-operatively, especially post-op hip and knee replacements.

Maighan is also highly trained in equipment-based Clinical Pilates, and is passionate about its use in injury rehabilitation and management of different conditions. She takes a number of supervised clinical exercise classes across Monday to Friday, and enjoys educating clients to be more independent in the management of their injury.

Maighan is well-equipped to treat a variety of injuries and conditions using a number of treatment options including manual therapy, dry needling, therapeutic/targeted exercises, and clinical pilates. She is driven to help her clients achieve meaningful improvement and get the most out of life. She believes it is important for all people of all ages to be able to live the life
they want, and delivers the appropriate patient-centered treatment to achieve this.

In her spare time, you will find Maighan playing netball, spending time with her family and fur-baby Storm, supporting the mighty Brisbane Lions, or baking and decorating cakes.
