Bone Strength Program

If you want to improve your bone density, feel steadier on your feet, and stay active with confidence, our Bone Strength Program is a supportive, physiotherapist-led program designed to help.

This is a small-group, evidence-informed exercise program focused on building bone strength, improving balance, and reducing your risk of falls. You’ll be guided by our experienced physiotherapy team at Whittlesea Physiotherapy & Clinical Pilates, with exercises tailored to your current ability and goals.

WHO THIS PROGRAM IS FOR

This program may be a great fit if you:

  • Have been told you have osteopenia or osteoporosis
  • Are post-menopausal and want to protect your bone health
  • Have had a fracture or you’re worried about future fractures
  • Feel less steady, have reduced strength, or want to reduce fall risk
  • Want a structured plan and expert guidance (not just “go to the gym”)

HOW IT WORKS

 

1) Free Bone Health Education Session (compulsory)

We run a free education session where we explain:

  • What bone density means and why it matters
  • The types of exercise that best support bone health
  • How to train safely if you have osteoporosis/osteopenia
  • What to expect from the program and how to get started

 

2) Initial assessment (required)

Before joining the group, you’ll book a one-on-one physiotherapy assessment. This allows us to:

  • Check your medical history and suitability for the program
  • Take functional measures (strength, balance, movement)
  • Tailor your starting level and exercise options
  • Set goals and plan safe progressions

 

3) Join the bone strength program

Once assessed, you’ll join our small-group sessions and progress through a structured program with ongoing guidance.
